How long will it take for the cabbage soup diet to work?
DOES IT REALLY WORK?
doesn't sound line much of a diet plan. you eat the same cabage soup 5 times a day? why not going with a meal plan that allows you to lose weight at the same time gives you freedom of selecting different meals for different days of the week?
I know this is an old post, but back in the cabbage soup days I could only eat so much of left-overs. It smelled good and tasty if you add cayanne pepper to it. There's a new food product out called "Miraclenoodle".

The cabbage soup diet is yet another gimmick and I hate to see you waste your time. Diets don't work - not for long anyway. It's a lifestyle change. You can eat just about anything within reason - it's all about portion control and checking yourself internally to see why and when you are overeating. Do you eat when you are stressed, sad, happy, whatever. Keep a journal. Eat and enjoy every bite of your food and no eating after 6PM with rare occasion - like going out. Also, don't deprive yourself of something yummy - but watch the portion. Weigh yourself once a week and keep active. Even if you walk 20 minutes aday - great. Start there and work your way up. And if that's not your thing - find a buddy and start some form of exercise. I was very overweight 30 years again and lost 100 pounds. I tried everything....all diets. Cabbage sound is one of the things that Weight Watchers has told people on their plan they can EAT ALL YOU WANT and not count any "points for it". They NEVER said that you should do ONLY a cabbage soup diet, it was only to be used when you took in the prescribed and varied low calorie diet to help you if you had used up your points and were still hungry, then you could eat cabbage soup and not add any more calories; there is so little in cabbage and the broth they said to use and there was nothing else much in it .. so it had almost no calories but was hot and filling.
Yes, it does cause diarreah and flatulence big time. But it tastes pretty good actually.
The idea of eating NOTHING else but cabbage soup sounds insane to me. I have eating a lot of it (when I was on the weight watchers program and since then) but not without eating other food also.
