Diets like these work but for how long? Not very long because they are hard to keep up with. Really how long do you think you can eat cabbage soup? Losing weight is more than just some crazy fad diet or taking pills. Fad diets and pills can help you lose weight but what is the risk? The risk for pills are major health issues and putting the weight back on after you are done. Fad diets will cause you to binge because you are limiting foods. It will work but you have to eat a lot of soup and get tired of it after about the 3rd day.  Weight watchers is  better

Cabbage sound is one of the things that Weight Watchers has told people on their plan they can EAT ALL YOU WANT and not count any "points for it".  They NEVER said that you should do ONLY a cabbage soup diet, it was only to be used when you took in the prescribed and varied low calorie diet to help you if you had used up your points and were still hungry, then you could eat cabbage soup and not add any more calories; there is so little in cabbage and the broth they said to use and there was nothing else much in it .. so it had almost no calories but was hot and filling.

Yes, it does cause diarreah and flatulence big time.  But it tastes pretty good actually.

The idea of eating NOTHING else but cabbage soup sounds insane to me.  I have eating a lot of it (when I was on the weight watchers program and since then) but not without eating other food also.

It works almost immediately, sending you to the washroom for hours, and causing a pretty severe diarrhea. You will see an immediate weight loss (provided you stick with this diet) within a week, but be advised that most of the weight is water and not fat.

You might want to consider any saner diet.

No, it doesn't work.  You need an eating plan you can stick with for a lifetime, not a week.  Don't waste your time on these fad diets.

I think that a really important thing that you should look at is this paragraph.  I think that you should maybe seek another diet, because this looks fake, first of all, and secondly, very dangerous.  Look at this paragraph:

Nutritionists argue that the pounds shed are more likely attributed to the dramatic and dangerous loss in calories and not the proposed fat-burning power found in the cabbage. This diet deprives your body of essential nutrients and has been correlated to difficulty concentrating, feeling light-headed and weak.

If you really want to lose weight in a safe way, try working out at least 3 times a week, and eat 25% less in every meal that you would normally eat.  Another way to do this is like what my father did:  Take every portion that is put in front of you, and eat half (or a little bit more than half) of each portion... this way you will be in shape, and HEALTHY.  Don't forget the working out part though Smile Good luck and stay healthy.

The cabbage soup diet works really but to keep on this "boring" dieting plan, it's advised to follow an improved plan. I tried some of them and really loved one that allowed me to eat diverse aliments while the basic plan is very strict.

For instance, I drank two protein milkshakes a day, one BIG baked potato with sauce on the second day, I also made three different cabbage soups in order to not get bored with eating always the same soup. Result: 10 pounds lost in 1 week.

The great benefit of this improved plan is that it allowed me to change my eating habits while losing weight quickly and keeping on losing weight since my eating habits changed.
