Looking for a diet to lose weight and increase energy

I am looking for a good diet to lose some extra weight without losing energy. I am very active and work out every day as well as playing field hockey and soccer several times a week. What diets allow you to lose fat but increase energy? I find that whenever I try to eat less I get very lethargic and become less active. Any suggestions?

Hello, i recently lost over 4 stone.

I have been researching the net for some time to find a diet that suits my lifestyle. This diet suits my busy lifestyle, you do not even have to exercise if you don't want to. You get a list of different foods to choose from. I lost 11 pounds in 11 days, I have reached my ideal weight now. If i put on a few pounds i just start over again it is great i really feel great i got so much more energy to have loads of fun with my 2 boys. I lost body fat which is hard on some diets you only lose carbs and don't target the fat but on this my stomach was getting flatter each day. I am now wering tight fitted jeans this is aa breath of fresh air for me and i have started being more confident with my body. eating less and doing the same phyical activity will make you weak.

Eat more almonds and walnuts,

eat more fish, eggs and chicken or turkey. fruits, dark green leafy vegetables

These all have protein & provide numerous health benefits.

less bread

fuel up on 100% juices without the garbage unpronounceable ingredients.

No gatorade type drinks

weight resistance exercises in the a.m. once you wake up to burn off fat, eat a meal afterwards; fruit juice, granola, banana etc.

no junk foods, no breads after 6pm, 1 or 2 times a week OK. If you must have some junk food do it late morning or early afternoon so you can work it off throughout the day

This will help you lose weight . at least it has for me and others.

I'd suggest the Glycemic Index (GI) diet. It's high in fibre and I had bundles of energy. The only problem was that you have to prepare all of your meals carefully and it's hard to eat on the run. Definitely worth a shot.

It will be good for him to spend his energy outside and he'll eventually find one or two sports he a smart kid.
