Tisha, I don't know where you got the idea that "unhygenic habits" cause Hypertension, or that Obesity is the cause. Doctors don't always know the cause, and granted obesity can be a factor, but if it were the cause, all fat people would have hypertension. Many obese people have no blood pressure problelms, and many thin, healthy (me) people do. As for unhygenic habits, they do not cause blood pressures to raise.It's like saying it you don't shower, you'll get high blood pressure. In addition, too much salt does not "cause" hypertension, although if you are prone to high blood pressure, it can cause it to be higher. In some cases of hypertension (such as mine) diet and salt have no bearing. Most people can use all the salt they like without raising their prssure. IMany times, it is simply genetic. If both parents have it, there's a 75 to 90% chance you will have it. If the cause were known, doctors would have a cure for it instead of just being able to control it.
