Hello, I just participated in a 10k walkathon on Sunday, its about 6.2 miles, my question is, when will it show up on the scale, I must have lost something, but so far, 3 days later ,it says I GAINED, any ideas?

I am new to this and walking in a marathon,

sue

well.. it depends.. do you eat the same amount or food or did you eat more than usual? it could also have converted your fat into muscles.. and muscles make you heavier but that is healthy unlike fat content in the body.. sooo if people who are honest tells you you have lost weight then you have lost fat but gained muscle mass according to the scales.. but if i were you i'd walk everyday to keep the unwanted fat from your body and gain muscles instead.. or if you can't walk everyday.. at least 3 times a week.. it's healthy... good luck!!

you're not the only one.. me too.. but i have learned that exercising and suddenly going up on the scales doesn't mean you actually gained.. but what is important is that you are healthy.. :)
