I tried Jenny Craig years ago, and the food was crappy. I haven't done South Beach, but I know that Atkins takes a LOT of self-discipline and, to be honest, sacrifice, if you like bread or anything else with carbohydrates at all.
Weight Watchers is the one that I would suggest, because it's more balanced approach than the others, and they've been doing it long enough that they have the support side down quite well. They really focus on making sustainable changes. There are no "forbidden" foods at all, so you really can tailor it to suit your tastes. I'm one of the world's pickiest eaters, and I had absolutely no trouble sticking to their plan.
Actually, the only thing I had trouble with was eating as much as they said I should! I've heard they changed it since then, but you can still use the "points" method that they used then. The number of points you have each day depends on your current weight, and you have bonus points that you can use or bank during the week. So, for instance, if you know that you're going to a holiday party on the weekend, you wouldn't want to blow your bonus points on a big dessert at lunch on Wednesday.
Even though I was eating a lot more than I usually did, I lost weight very nicely. I was never hungry, not once.
The only reason I didn't stick with it was money and time, but it's certainly much less than Jenny Craig. If I were to do it over again, I'd probably join the online program and make time for the weekly meetings in person.
Good luck!
