Your creative mind is your ticket to greatnesss.

Stress, infection, I use an insulin pump and sometimes (not very often)there is a problem with my pump or the tubing etc, bad insulin. I have been living with diabetes for over 25 years, test my blood sugars at least 4 times a day.

A basic explanation: the cells of the pancreas produce little or no insulin, the hormone that allows glucose to enter body cells. Because of this a person's blood sugar levels become elevated. In order to counteract this, a person has to take insulin.

Hi LMarie,   (Love the horse!)      No, the food isn't a problem - very few carbs and no sugar and I've increased the insulin, but the levels are very high - I'm wondering if stress is the culprit.    Many thanks - Tasha

Thanks rochester,    Many thanks, but I know the cause - I already take insulin, but my levels have suddenly taken a high leap and it's not due to my diet.
