Well obviously people who are not born in the USA are harder workers who rise to higher levels than those people who are born in the USA. It is the same with my violin students. If they were born in Taiwan, China, Korea, Brazil, Haiti, well those were where most of my best students over the last 30 years came from. The ones born in the USA, their homework takes to much time, and they have to watch TV for 3 hours a day as well as play them stupid games games like nintendo on the screen, so it doesnt' leave them much time to practice or rise up in the world. And of course the parents from foreign countries really help their kids, but parents born here in the USA? forget it. I am sure it is the same with things like politics. In fact one of my best violin students who was from Haiti decided to pursue a career in Law. Who knows maybe someday she'll be our president! And not only that but the first african american woman to sit in the white house as president!
