Can I delete or disable an email address?

How do I delete a free email account?  I don't use it anymore and do not want anyone sending me email at this address.

Free accounts are nearly impossible to delete.  There's no need to delete it, though - just stop using it.  If you set the mailbox to reject all mail (click Settings->Spam Controls->Spam Filters by Address->Block Mail from all senders), then everyone will soon learn you're not taking mail at that address.
