How to defend a christian bible vs other religions bibles

How to defend the Christian bible vs other religion's bibles.  When telling someone about Jesus and what the bible says, sometimes people will ask " How do you know your bible is true vs. other religion's bibles, like the karan or the Jewish?"  What makes you think the Christian bible is right and others aren't? "

Hi,

Your argument is almost completely misguided.

First, there is only one "Bible" it is not christian or jewish, or any other religion. The different religions that use the "Bible" for reference have created there own translations and interpretations to suit their own agendas and goals.

The origins of your bible are much older than you state, it was not written in Hebrew, and it was written by men not god!

The men had what I will refer to as divine inspiration but the writing is that of men with all the associated failings and non spiritual agendas.

If you wish to have a meaningful discussion you should read some history before you mouth the teachings of one particular belief.

All the great mystics and religions, at their core, are talking about the same thing.

Peoples unwillingness to give up their petty differences is the cause of the problems in this world. If more people of "religious" persuasion were willing to see this the world could resolve more of the really important issues.

Thanks for listening

Perry

Jeremiah 23:19
Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked

Sent them a sign, sent them a sign, sent them a sign, but they closed their eyes.

But they closed their eyes...

Nowhere to hide, nowhere to run
He prophesied this day would come
You can close your eyes when he sends you the sign
You can just pretend that you have plenty of time
But when you're caught in the eye of the storm

Nowhere to turn as the thunder crashes
So many time you were warned
Now you're caught in the eye of the storm
Apocalypse stands at the door
You're caught in the eye of the storm

Ages ago, voices so cruel
"Noah" they cried, "You're such a fool"
And still today, skeptics abound
Until the water will cover the ground
And they are caught in the eye of the storm

Nowhere to turn as the thunder crashes
So many time you were warned
Now you're caught in the eye of the storm
Apocalypse stands at the door
You're caught in the eye of the storm

You could give him your heart
While you still have the time
You can give him your soul
You can give him your mind
You can fall on your knees
You could cry out "Save me"

One day when the lightning crashes
One day when the thunder rolls
One day when apocalypse is standing knockin' at your door
You'll be safe in the arms of Jesus
You'll be safe forever more
You'll be praising him forever
What a glorious reward
You'll be safe with the Lord
Not caught in the eye of the storm

Caught in the eye of the storm

Nowhere to turn as the thunder crashes
So many time you were warned
Now you're caught in the eye of the storm
Apocalypse stands at the door
You're caught in the eye of the storm

It very obvious that you have never read the bible or no anything about it's history. I'm you are a philosopy student in school. Well sad to say your teacher is teahing you bad history.

That honest history is found in the Bible. The more intently a God-fearing person studies history the more he appreciates the value of the Bible’s historical narratives. It is the oldest connected history to which man has access. Historian H. E. Barnes admits: “The honor of having first produced a true historical narrative of ‘considerable scope . . . must be accorded to the Hebrews of ancient Palestine,” who were used to put together the Bible.
But, some ask, how can the Bible’s history be said to be so outstanding? Does it not glorify one nation, Israel? Does it not ask us to believe the incredible, even the miraculous?
It is true that much of the Bible concerns the history of Israel. But who can deny that the presentation of Israel in the Bible is an honest one? Israel’s bad characteristics, not just its good ones, are frankly acknowledged. The nation and her people are used to illustrate the penalties coming on anyone who refuses to live by God’s high standards. Bible history shows how God severely chastised Israel, eventually casting the nation off entirely as his special covenant people.
No, the Bible’s history does not glorify any one earthly nation or race. Rather, it plainly declares: “In every nation the man that fears [God] and works righteousness is acceptable to him.”—Acts 10:35.
It is true, too, that there are miraculous elements in its history. But before one casts it off for that reason, it should be remembered that the framework in which these miracles are found is definitely historical and believable. In what way? In that time and place are stated.
This can be illustrated with the Bible’s historical account about the opening of the Red Sea to allow the nation of Israel to leave Egypt. Some persons find this account, written by an eyewitness, Moses, hard to accept. Often the persons who reject it have never actually read the account closely for themselves.
But one who thoughtfully considers this material (found in Exodus chapters 12 through 15) for himself will observe that the names of persons and places are recorded.—Compare Numbers 33:1-8.

2. Destiny of Europe  Rebirth of the Holy Roman Empire
Two major prophecies in the Bible
specifically teach us that the Holy Roman Empire
will be resurrected in the endtimes.
This rebirth of the Holy Roman Empire
will then give rise to the Antichrist.

...Europe now had its first common currency since the Roman Empire 2,000 years ago....
Holy Roman Empire Rebirth...

"Throughout the centuries since Rome fell, many political leaders have dreamed of resurrecting the Roman Empire. Napoleon Bonaparte, Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, and Winston Churchill, for different reasons and with differing motives, all shared the vision of a United States of Europe. But that vision had to await God's timing for its fulfillment. That timing came at the end of World War II." -David Reagan

3. 666 Mark of the Beast  Whatever it is, it's coming. We could stop the National ID in our country...
"...no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast (666)..."

"Is the Mark coming?
A step toward the mark of the beast. A national identification card, in whatever form it may take, will allow the federal government to inappropriately monitor the movements and transactions of every American. History shows that governments inevitably use the power to monitor the actions of people in harmful ways. Claims that the government will protect the privacy of Americans when implementing a national identification card ring hollow. We would do well to remember what happened with the Social Security number. It was introduced with solemn restrictions on how it could be used, but it has become a de facto national identifier.

"The mark of the beast system will be entirely voluntary. If you choose to accept the mark so that you can buy and sell, you will worship the antichrist to avoid being killed and thus worship Satan. With the strongest possible warning, I warn you all that to accept the mark of the beast for short term advantage will result in eternal punishment. It's not worth it! For those living here on earth during the terrible times of the Great Tribulation, God is our provider and will open doors for your survival and good. Trust God, not the false system of the antichrist."

- Bible Quote -"16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666." Revelation 13:16-18

Verichip (or Xmark), Stanley Works bought Xmark, but Verichip still owns the "VeriMed Health Link" business which is the under skin implants. 2004 FDA approved, but adoption has been limited. Continuation of the VeriMed service likely depends on VeriChip finding a committed buyer. Technology is there for implants, but this company hasn't had success.

2008-09 - SOMARK is developing a patented chipless RFID tattoo for animal identification system. Contains no metals and can be colored or invisible. They just received funding Feb. 2009 to begin for cattle and lab animals. "Currently have three U.S. issued patents." -- Plans to license the technology to secondary markets, which could include laboratory animals, dogs, cats, prime cuts of meat, and saving lives of military personnel. It began for cow and safe food ID, but soon realized that there were additional industries to implement their innovation, such as lab animals, passports, currency, jewelry, electronics and more. This product is not commercially available they said in their FAQ's. Amazing they have a comment page and people are asking honest questions such as "mark of the beast" comments - are "concerned" people looking crazed? Are we slowly becoming immune to the shock of marking people, oops I mean animals? Read their news page: Invisible 'Radio' Tattoos Could Identify Soldiers. It's obvious now that their trying to remove the shock of humans being marked with an invisible ID number.

Mary, remind thim of this when they ask you   "What makes you think the Christian bible is right and others aren't? "

This is what you tell them

the only true God—had a Son named Jesus Christ to whom all the power of the Father was delivered (Matt 28:18), and whom died and resurrected so that His faithful children whom believed upon Him could be forgiven and thus attain eternal life.

The God of Christianity is not the same God as the god of Islam or Judaism; as the Christian's God—the only true God—had a Son named Jesus Christ to whom all the power of the Father was delivered (Matt 28:18), and whom died and resurrected so that His faithful children whom believed upon Him could be forgiven and thus attain eternal life.

Neither the Jews nor the Muslims acknowledge this great and necessary truth and thus are not to attain eternal life with God, no matter how "pious" they pretend or seem to be.

Being "nice" doesn't get you into Heaven; believing upon Jesus Christ is now, since he was once offered, the only door to Heaven.  "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me . KJV " (John 14:6).  Period.  And to tell a Jew or a Muslim that they are not going to Heaven is not "Hate Speech," it is the greatest of love; for, who knows if they will fear and investigate and perchance come to the faith in Jesus Christ that saves?

But on the other hand, allowing them to believe that there "are many paths" to God—and allowing them to believe that belief upon Jesus Christ is irrelevant to salvation—is to enable their final utter destruction before God, the Lamb, and all the holy angels of Heaven.  And it makes one guilty in part for that destroyed soul.

That is a hard truth that the greatest majority of today's lukewarm, saltless, Christ-betraying preachers dare not utter for Political Correctness' sake, get-along-with-everybody-itus , and to present a false illusion of piety, charity, and godliness.  "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. " (2 Tim 3:5).

Obama is honoring the muslim islamic holiday in our white house:  the audacity of hope is explained now.  He lies when he says he is a christian.  Because islams do not believe that christ is anything but a prophet.  A christian would not honor someone that felt as islams do.  So he liessssss.
England is having riots from muslims, terrorists have been caught trying to blow up more planes.
