Well, I'm not sure you supplied enough information, so I'll ask a few questions: what are your priorities? What are you looking for in a car? I assume cost in irrelevant in your case -- is this ture? Is performance important to you? Safety? Fun to drive? These two cars belong to different segments -- the Mondeo is a saloon car and the 5 is a minivan. Do you need the extra space? Can you test-drive the cars before you choose? Maybe you just won't like one or the other.

The Mazda is quite fast for its class, handles OK, rides OK and is quite practical. The Mondeo is a bit slow, handles very well, rides well, and I will probably be practical enough for your needs 99% of the time.

The botttom line is probably this: If you're more of a family guy, get the 5, and if you like driving, get the Mondeo. I'm pretty sure you'll be happy with either of them.

Well the two are two different cars. The Mazda 5 is a mini mini-van and the Ford Mondeo is a regular sedan.

The Mazda 5 provides ample space, it is a 7 passenger car (or 6+1 as they call it). I believe it is a great value for the money.  Mazda has been producing very reliable cars, and I am sure this one has the same high standards.

I guess the Ford Mondeo might be a bit more of a better drive and more dynamic in terms of performance driving.

Bottom line, I’d go for the Mazda – it’s the best fit for a family that needs some extra space.

with the ford you yourself have mire fun, you'll have more accesories, more power.

151,000 shekels for a car as big as the mondeo is a real catch.

the mazda 5 may sell good but it's dark and not that nice. if you'd have 3 kids or more a miniminivan like the 5 will do goos but since you have 2 kids they'll have enough room in the mondeo.
