What is the deal with all of these wrinkle creams? Can someone point me in the direction of a good antiwrinkle cream? My mother really wants to know what she should use.

Anti wrinkle creams are suppose to make you look younger, just like plastic surgery and botox injections. Despite great demand, most such products and treatments have not been proven to give lasting or major positive effects.

Tell you mother to look at these two sites

It might all be bogus but I find some creams rather helpful.

I highly recommend these three products (some are more then creams)

Instead of wasting time on searching for a specific cream I suggest a visit to the dermatologist. Ask him what he reccomends. The reason is that today there are so many products on the market but very few, if any at all, actually get the job done. Just remeber this: Sometimes it's better to invest in staying out of the sun than to spend hundreds of dollars on creams that might not help at all.

While some might opt for seeing a dermatologist, the first thing that has to be decided is budget.  After that, what specific ageging problem needs addressing first.

  • Age Spots - L-ascorbic acid and hydroquinone are the most common ingredients used for skin lightening.
  • Fine Lines - Can be addressed by extra moisture, ingredients that coat the skin and tighten, or minerals like silica that will diffuse light and soften the appearance of fine lines.
  • Dark under eye circles - Some of the same ingredients listed in the first two conditions above will work unless there is an underlying health issue causing dark under eye circles.
  • Wrinkles - Chemical peels or microdermabrasion removes part of the top layer of skin, revealing younger cells.

I hope this helps a little.  Feel free to contact me if you have other questions!

I use Dead Sea products. I like that they have natural ingredients and I am not putting chemicals on my face. I am very skeptical about the long term effects of these anti-aging creams. You cant go wrong with all natural products, right? The Dead Sea Spa Care Anti-Wrinkle eye cream is my favorite.
