Now, one other oddity struck me and I did not see where anyone else seemed bothered by it. The facts are limited, but I got the impression they mostly just look at each other (perhaps in class) and that they hardly speak much (maybe nicities when they pass in the halls???). If this impression is correct, how can he be in love with her (all she did was "talk nicely to me") and how could she know the guy she only speaks nicely to (occassionally) loves her?
I would have said sounds questionable 15 years ago. But with internet I hear about people falling in love and getting engaged over the internet by chats and email and phone calls BEFORE THEY EVER MEET face to face. At least here there has been "eye (singular) contact".

If you think that she already knows, then it should not be so difficult to tell her the truth. Be honest and let her know how you feel. Honesty and good communication is the best way to start a new relationship after all. Good luck.
