Listening is a very good tip, don't put on a huge disguise when you talk to her you have to be yourself in a way. I think humor is a great way to deal with the tension between you two. Try to find some good smart jokes to make her laugh.

Don't brag about yourself. Get her to open up and tell you about her. If she starts talking about some other man,change the subject fast, she probably doesn't have one. Never tell your best side let her ask for it?

Tell her how important she is to you and how good you feel when you are with her. Generally girls are a lot more talkative than men so allow her lots of time to talk. If there is mutual love between you even the silent moments are meaningful and you do not have to worry about talking.
