Always meet a blind date at the restaurant so you will have your own car with you. If he turns out to be a bore or drinks too much, excuse yourself to go to the ladies room and leave for your car instead. Brutally put, these guys are supposed to entertain, too, and if they don't you don't have to take care of their wounded feelings! Trust me, I never heard from one that I did this to again.
