What is a good "date movie?"

I have a dinner and movie date coming up. He's picking the restaurant and I'm in charge of the movie. I need something stimulating but also fun. Any suggestions?

Okay, someone said if he likes action movies he must be aggressive? Puh-lease! That is the most ridiculous stereotype I have ever heard! I like horror movies. Does that mean I must be a 4'9, 120 lb., shy, female axe murderer? There were lots of good movies listed, anything with Bruce Willis is always entertaining!

Don't pick a "chick flick" pick something you "both" like. Nothing to serious !!! Nothing about a couple not having enough sex !!! "I need something etc" should you say WE NEED SOMETHING etc..maybe there is your problem !!! Need to thinbk as a pair !!

Good Luck

They say that laughter or adrenaline can get men in the mood, so maybe an action movie, a guy flick.  I don't think a chick flick is going to do anything for a guy to get him in the mood.

So many choices.  I'm sure you'll make a good selection.  On GirlsAskGuys.com, when asked "What's a good movie to go see for a first date?" here's what some men and women said:

  • I go for romantic comedies.
  • Comedies are good for the both of you, but sometimes horror films might be good because you might be able to snuggle up with your guy because you are scared.
  • My recommendation is comedy, but stay away from romantic comedies for the first few dates.
Scary movies might be fun, as if you like the guy, you can totally let him "protect you" from the scary scenes, which gives you a chance to cuddle.
  • I think perhaps a romantic comedy.. Nothing too heavy
I say if you can handle it, go for the scary movie.  That way, you have all the more reason to snuggle up with him.  The next time you go to a movie, go for a romantic comedy, although the polite idea might be to let him choose, and then hope he picks a romantic comedy.  Good luck!
