What are the dangers of falling backwards, head first for an adault of 38 years old?

hello friends,

yesterday morning i, a 38 year old female, while in a sitting position, fell off the tip of the bed backwards on our hardwood floors, thereby landing head first with the rest of my body following!  i do suffer from a chronic back pain which is caused by arthiritis and have pinched nerves on back of my neck, and need to take hydroprofin, regularly for pain.  i wasnt in a lot of pain at first due to the hydroprofin taken an hour before the fall....but today i feel a mild headache on top of my head, temples and of course i can feel sore pain on my shoulders and my arms, but i can still walk without any numbness or any difficulty on my legs, and i am not running any fever.  i am a little worried though, just because i have heard of people who have taken falls and havent felt any discomfort or anything, but have eventually gone to the emergency and some have died in a couple of days from some type of bloodrush trauma to the head.  i am just curious if anyone has taken the same kind of fall that i took without any complications arousing days later from the fall?  (dont want to go to the hospital for financial reasons) but would like to know what type of symptoms should i expect from my fall, that i dont have to worry about, and what symptoms are to cause an alarm? which part of the head is it more dangerous to fall on?  i hope to recieve some answers to these questions, so that i can stop worrying.

don't try to save money

if you fell on your head - get yourself checked

it wont matter how much money you saved if your family or people close to you, come into your room one day and find you lifeless because something happened to you as a consequence of this fall.

PS you should move to a country that doesnt charge so much for medical attention, if you dont want to go get checked for financial reasons

A follow up to your post.

I am a 32 year old male. In July of this year, I fell backwards in my chair at work. Although I never had any real problems with my back neck or head, I brushed it off and went on with life. However, just over 30 days later, I found that I had a pinched nerve in the back of the skull. It was a feeling of a ram horn. It is called occipital neuroaliga. Four trigger point injections later it provided some releif however we then found another pinched nerve in C6 - C7 and a disc bulge. Surgery was my only option. Now I am feeling better and you should have that checked out to ensure that you do not have a serious head injury.
