The danger of "tech support"

Sam Taylor worns in his blog: "be wary when a person from 'tech support' asks you for any information. Most often, they're imposters trying to gain access to your money/PC/both". I wonder how often such things happen and if others have the same experience.

I don't use tech support too often, but i think there are things that you should be careful saying when you talk with tech support and there are things you have to share with the tech person if you want to get help.

You can never be sure the tech person won't take your details and do things they shouldn't do, but they can find most details without you telling them anyway, so just be responsible for your money (credit card has insurance) and PC.
