Are you sure the engine is called “powermax” ? because I had a look at Cummins product list and I have not found such an engine. There is a “power” series but I did not see in the series an engine labeled "powermax" .
You should also specify what does the engine operate (a car a boat etc...) this may have some impact on the engine life span.
