"quite some time ago i saw a documentary about life-sized women dolls that could be specifically ordered. it seemed to be something designed for lonely men that they treated as real girlfriends, custom ordered, that could be returned for repairs. does anyone know of a website? i don't recall the name of the company..."

I saw something like that on TV some time ago. There is a company in Japan (Sony?) that is developing lifelike women robots that can interact with humans. I don't know if they will satisfy lonely men, but they had better have a lot of money if they want one.

Sorry, I don't know of a web site. You might try googling robots and androids.

Yeah, they're the Real Dolls. For me, I've looked at them as quite a bit like works of art. Amazing sculptures. I can't really see using one for sex, but as sculpture they're amazing.
