After going to a status hearing, and still ...

After going to a status hearing, and still pleading not guilty, can the case still go trial?

Of course. The status hearing is simply to determine where or when the case will be decided. Either by plea or trial or maybe, the dismissal by motion of the prosecutor. Or the judge is setting his schedule. It has nothing to do with the outcome of the case.
