I currently have - 30,000 in credit card dept. $15,000 in car loan, and 215,000, No one will give me a loan
Sounds to me like you may need to talk to a credit counselor. They can help you get your spending under control and also lower your monthly payments so maybe you will not need any further loans. There are many available online but if you are not sure where to start, try http://www.budgetplanners.net/ Hope this helps.

Musicman,
You have too much outstanding debt at this time, your debt to income ratio is probably the number oone reason you are not receiving the loans you are applying for, it is time to start eliminating your debt.
listen to or watch Dave Ramsey (he's on radio & tv) follow his plan...he doesn't charge for advice, but has a solid way to get out of debt and save your money
Try to get rid of your car, sell it. Then get a car clunker and drive it under it does not run anymore. Live within your means, that's what Dave Ramsey will tell you. I love listening to his radio program. He has helped a lot of families who had financial problems. Go to Daveramsey.com.
Is the $215,000.00 your mortgage payment on your house? Why don't you live in a small apartment. You need to change your lifestyle in order to get rid of your bills. They just don't go away doing nothing. It takes a lot of sacrifice, no eating out, no spending money on movies, no vacations for awhile. Maybe you need to pick up another job in addition to your job, if you're presently working.
Hello Debbi,
I'm also an avid fan of Dave Ramsey. I wish I'd known his teachings when I was way younger.
I get the feeling some people get the impression I was over my head When I got into these depts. I will try to give you a quick scenario of what happened. I became ill around 2001 and took a dissability leave from my job. I thought i'll be back at work within 3 months. I am now totally disabled which was a shock to me.My salary went from $5k monthly to $1300. thats when we started dept consolidation. Our house value went from $340k to $189k. then my wife's job took $4 off her hourly rate, and it has been tight ever since. Now as of 10/01/09 we have to start paying for our own medical insurance. The thing that kills me is that I have 30K in dept and I pay 680 monthly because they are 8 seperate credit cards. To cosolidate for 10 yrs@9%int rate would be 380 a month. which could really help me out. I have not missed any payments of any kind for the past several years and I have a good credit score but still no one will help out I think that creditors now have access to a lot of info even personnel and medical just by looking at the purchases you make with your credit card. If that is the case, it's just to bad that they don't know I have a life insurance in place (god forbid I should pass away) so that my wife does not get tied up with dept.
