Happiness is a choice. Choose to be happy.

A:

That person is only hurting themself. It all catches up with you eventually. Bankruptcy stays on your credit report for a minium of 10 years. There are also new rules and regulations regarding bankruptcy.  Things like student loans, federal taxes, etc. are not allowed to be discharged, ever. I believe I also read somewhere that the period of time allowed between bankruptcies (right now it's allowed once every 5 years) is going to be doubled to 10 years. I can't confirm that but you can do some research online. Again, only hurting themself. I would encourge that unfortunate person to seek credit and psychological counseling.
