The cost of college textbooks

Why do college textbooks cost so much?  They cannot even be sold anymore to next year's students because the college/professors change textbooks all the time.  No textbook should cost $675.00 should they?  If you know the reason, will you please tell the rest of us why textbooks cost so much?

They can be really expensive. I've had books that cost over $200! I find half.com or amazon.com to be helpful and you can resell the books for a similar price when you're done.

it is because they know u will pay it! i have beat the high cost by renting.  this site tells u how & why. it doesn't cost anything. go about 1/2 way down & there r some links to the site.  u can save TONS!  love, kelli
