A:I saw a video on youtube for how to remove a cork from a wine bottle using a plastic grocery bag. This is so ingenious that I will sometimes push the cork into a bottle on purpose at parties to show how to do it. You need to make sure that there is a little bit of liquid in the bottle so if it is dry just put half a teaspoon of water in it. swish the water around to that it gets the inside of the neck wet. Take the bottle with the cork in it and hold it right side up. Take the plastic grocery bag and pinching the bottom draw the bag into a pointy shape. Insert the bag into the bottle. You may need to use a wooden spoon or a pencil to get the bag into the bottle about half way. Now tip the bottle upside down so that the cork falls down along side of the bag. Inflate the bag by blowing into it. Now pull the bag out of the bottle and voila! The cork comes with the bag. Such a great party trick and takes a little less than a minute so if you are making wine and want to reuse those bottles it is a handy trick to know. Now if only stripping the labels off were so easy.
