I just bought my air conditioner, when I turn it on, it works great but; several hours later, it is hardly blowing any air and isn't cool, you shut it down and then about a 1 or so later you turn it on, it works great again, what is the deal?
Based on you explanation, I would have the system checked for your high and low side readings at the evaporator. Basic readings should be 300 on the high and 150 on the low side. Your problems rules out a dirty filter and a internal leak of refridgerent. It also would be best to take the guess factor out of consideration and call your service tech if your unit is still under warranty. Best of luck, John
