how long to cook plain rice
the instructions say 2 1/4 cup of water per 1 cup of rice takes 45 min. do i double the water and time for two cups of rice?? thanks, jerry

no just double water same time only 45 minutes rice takes the same weather its 2 pounds or 2 grains

Is this an oven recipe? boiling rice according to my packages say 2 cups water per cup of rice, boil 20 minutes until water is absorbed. like intheknow says, just double the amount, not the time. that may not be the case for an oven recipe, as far as time goes. It may take longer to cook with larger amounts.
