What is your secret recipe for the perfect pancake?


Mine, by the way is:

1 cup of milk

1 cup of self rising flour

1 egg

2 spoons of sugar

If you're not a seasoned cook and you want to impress someone with real fluffy pancakes, I'd go for a mix. Just make sure you add eggs and milk (I think some mixes only ask you to add milk and eggs if you're making wafels, but I say go for it even for pancakes). Yes, it is industrialized but they almost always turn out fluffy and not too sweet.

 

Your recipe looks ok. You might want to replace the self rising flower with regular fine flour and some baking soda, and I also sometimes replace the milk with white yogurt or sour cream (just make sure you don't take the sour brands). If you like you can add chocolate chips to the batter, or the classical blueberries... Your life as you know it (and your family's) will never be the same...
