Your direction, not your intention, determines your destination

A:

This isn't Curtis, but here is a recipe I think you will like. It's easy and good.Enjoy.

1 large loaf of white bread, sliced  1 cup raisins, 11/2 pounds Longhorn cheese, thinly sliced, 2 cups brown sugar, packed. 1tablespoon cinnamon, 21/2 quarts water, 1 tablespoon butter(I use 4 Tsp instead for texture and flavor.)

Lightly toast bread slices. Soak raisins in a little warm water until they are puffy. In a large ovenproof baking dish layer the slices of bread, cheese and raisins, starting with the bread and repeating the layers until the ingredients are used up. In a large saucepan dissolve the brown sugar and cinamon in water. Add butter and bring to boil, simmer for about 15 minutes.Pour the hot syrup slowly over the layers in the baking dish until soaked and covered.Cover with lid or foil. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Serve hot or cold, plain or with cream. Yields 8 servings. It's called INDIAN BREAD PUDDING.
