How do i make a good conversation with a guy i've known for a really long time?

There is a guy in my class that i've known for 4 years know because we're in high school and i've always had him for a class every year. I really liked him for the last 3 year but now i just want to be friends with him. I'm not really close with him so i don't think he knows that i had a crush on him but i would really like to get to know him better this year and maybe hag out sometimes.

He's a football player and a wrestler. I just want some ideas or tips on how i can have a good conversation with him. He used to be quiet before but he's opening up a little bit more. So it'll be more easier to talk to him than the last time i did which was also when i liked him.

Pretend he's new to your school.

What would you say to him then? How would you approach him?

If you pretend that he's new (and you've already had the basic where're you from kind of chat), then what else would you talk about?

You might ask him what he thinks of some of the teachers, or of upcoming school events. You might ask what his favorite non-school or sports activity is. You might try to find out if you have any friends in common.

Smile, be friendly and be yourself. Be ready to talk but also be ready to listen.

You'll do fine.
