Hey mate, I've never used this car before, but

carreview.com is exactly what you're looking for. Honda CR-V scores 4 out of 5 with 210 reviews. pay attention that reviews refer to different model years or accessory features.

I have driven the C-RV quite a few times and the real question is what type of car you are looking for. If you are looking for a car to drive mostly on paved roads, and from time to time, take it for a ride on a dirt road, that isn't too rough, it's a great car. On the other hand if you're looking to cross some seriously rough terrain with it, I would look for a different car.

I personally felt at times that it's a bit under powered but maybe it's just  me. Another thing I don't like about it is that the 4x4 feature kicks in automatically, not really giving you, as a driver, that much control of the drive. Some people will say it's an advantage but that's a matter of opinion.

The bottom line is that it's a great car and it gives the driver a very smooth ride. It's just not meant to be abused.

I have had a CR-V for the last 7 years and I think it is a great little car. The one I have is a 2001 and they were underpowered at that time, but since 2003 (I think it was 2002 or 2003) that Honda put a more powerful bigger engine in it. Has not given us any trouble except regular maintenance for seven years. What more can one ask of a car?

Can't lose buying Honda, CRV great and realiable SUV.  Friends have them and love them.  Change the oil, replace the brake pads and keep diving.  I have followed one thru the Rocky moutians in BC Canada and was uncomfortable in trying to keep up with it.

Enjoy, if used purchase, of course get it checked out first.
