Well, the iphone features include a touch screen created for use with a finger only, as if it was a computer mouse; a virtual keyboard on the touchscreen with automatic spell checking, predictive word capabilities and a dynamic dictionary that learns new words; a photo album and a web page magnifications; a display responding to a proximity sensor that shuts off the display and touchscreen when the iphone is brought near the face (to save battery power and to prevent spurious inputs from the user's face and ears), an ambient light sensor that adjusts the display brightness (to save battery power) and an accelerometer sensor that senses the orientation of the phone and changes the screen accordingly; a phone allowing conferencing, call holding, call merging, caller ID and integration with other cellular network; SMS mechanism which presents messages chronologically in a mailbox format similar to Mail; a 2 megapixel camera; an ipod-like music capabilities; and an internet and Email connection.
However, like the ipod, it would not be possible to change the instrument's batteries but rather send them to Apple company for that purpose, and at the moment the camera is possible to produce stills only, no video.
