How much conscious mind do we use?

I saw on television the other day that people vote with only 2% of their conscious mind, the rest is nominated by the subconscious mind. You think you're going to vote for Obama, but subconsciously your racist and you can't vote for a black man. Where can I find this information to back up this. If anyone knows please let me know.
