I just bought a Lenove N500 laptop. The computer has an HDMI socket. What do I need to do in order to connect it with my Toshiba 29cz6ei television? I need tho be in the simplest terms, since I understand nothing in those things.
Look in the manual that came with your Toshiba. If it says you can hook up a computer, it should also tell you what kind of cable to use.
My Visio TV manual gives very clear instructions in clear English.
Your Toshiba TV does not have a HDMI input as far as I know. Only newer flat screen LCD HDTV have that. It may have a SVGA connector. In that case you can use a SVGA cable that from your laptop to connect to your TV. The youtube video below will show you the various waus to connect and the type of cable to use:
