i have connected my computer to tv using svid out svid in tv but i only get my desk top picture nothing else please can anyone help

Try editing the preferences of your screen . right click on Pc screen--> Properties--> Settings . You need to select the TV scree as the main one where you want the display.Choose number 2. Same with the resolution.
