You should consult a Guidance Counselor and ask for a reliable company to call for an aptitude test. That would give you a start on selecting a career.

Basically, finding a college has a lot to do with what sounds interesting for you.  There are so many factors--size of school, social scene, level of academics, what majors are offered, type of people who attend the school, location, etc.  I think that there are several great books that you can get from your local book store.  You can learn about the differences between schools and what sounds appealing for you.  You can also view price differences and scholarship opportunities in college prep. books.  It's a good idea to apply to a number of schools, some that you know you'll get into and some that you think that you could only maybe get into.  Then, you'll be able to make a final decision after getting your acceptance letters.  I know it's a crazy time of your life and indeed confusing, but you can do it!  You'll love college and you'll find the right place.  When you get there, start taking classes in different types of things in order to figure out what you want to major in.  Good luck.  I hope this helps.
