Before you start messing with the memory, either check the DELL website or your manual (might be on-line). Computers do NOT all use the same memory modules. They also have a limitation of how much memory you can use and some have limitations on the breakdown of each module. Mine must be equal. Make sure to GROUND YOURSELF BEFORE TOUCHING THE MEMORY MODULES. If you have an extra slot to use great! If you do not, you will need to replace memory with a larger one.
