Can't install my new Lexmark 1300 printer ...

Can't install my new Lexmark 1300 printer.  Lexmark tech support has tried to help, but none of their suggestions made a difference.  The OS is Windows SP2.  Any guesses what might be the remedy?

my os is windows 2000 (yeah i said it)tryn 2 use lexmark z1300 have dwnloaded driver but the z1300 isnt on my list.whats compatible , what do i do?

Go to lexmark web site and download updates ............If the file extension has exe. It will load the program for you
