What limits my home network to 8 devices?

I have a motorola sb4200 cable modem hooked to a d-link di-624 with 2 gigabit switches so I can have a gigabit connection to networked hard drives from my PC. I have 9 devices and whenever I start the 9th (ps3) it can't connect untill I disconnect ethernet from one of the tivo's. Is it the d-link or the mototrola that is limiting number of connections?
