I'm looking for a simple way to send a link (to a web page) to my gmail contacts without opening the Gmail,  compose & paste the url. Something similiar to the "send link by email" button in IE7 that works with Gmail instead of outlook.

This solution isn't quite like the IE7 button but may help -

You can download and install the Google Talk client application or use the online Google talk gadget. It will let you have immediate access to all your Gmail contacts and then you can send them anything, you wont need to bother with opening Gmail - one click and the compose form opens up or you can simply IM them.

Hi, the "send to" button on the google toolbar, sends the page content and not the url itself. I would like only the URL to be sent (As a link to the webpage)
