A community without murder

I once read about a community somewhere (a tribe maybe), where there has never been a case of murder (of a person by another person), because it was socially unacceptble and simply unheard of.


I can't remember any other details - does anyone know about that community and where I can find more details about it?

If you heard about it a long time ago, it could be the Amish -- the first murder by an Amish was in the 1990's.

Other than this, I didn't hear about such a community. That's really interesting, I hope you'll get more answes.

I doubt if it was the Amish, because I'd have remembered that name...it was some less familiar name. I'll go read up about the Amish now :)
