How can I close more sales, and faster?

How do I get to the point I can close more sales, faster? we have a great company, make a great product, but too many people after acting interested, talk like they are going to come back to buy don't.. Help, I need to close more sales to keep my company going. We are just so you know in a very out of the way place, which seems like those that do come out of way to shop here should be more likely to buy. S_M_J

There could be a number of reasons for your problems. I would start by working a bit harder on marketing. If you're in an out of the way place people have to know you exist  in order to come and buy.
Another thing you can do is try and make a special sale where for a limited amount of time you give a discount or perhaps add a small gift with the purchase. This might bring more costumers and will cause the people who do buy to tell their friends all about it.
Another direction could be working on explaining to people why they should buy your product over the competitors product. This is something that can be done in the store once the costumer comes in. You have to make him sure that he must buy your product because the competitor's product gives him less.

Hope you manage to succeed with your business.

This is a topic that I have been working on more and more.

What has worked?  Asking the right questions.  Knowledge of the marketplace (the internet has made this so easy to see who are their major competitors, what challenges the company is having, etc...you can even set up RSS feeds).  Read and file and refresh.  Choosing words carefully, as there are only 26 letters in the english alphabet, it's best to use them most effectively, sparingly, and rehearsed.  And relatability: take notes on everything you discuss, pay attention to people.

This way, you know yourself, you know your customers, and you can adapt to their styles.  If they aren't biting, was it their impression that it was a one time transaction, was it questions you didn't ask, was it that they couldn't see how the value could be applied?  Find out, research, interview and adapt.

What you want to do is to automate your sales pipeline so your customers are in constant contact with you -- when you're away from the computer. You want to spend a few moments to strategically plan out a series of e-mails to keep your customers informed about new products and the value those provide.

The way to increase your sales and more effectively close them is to use Infusionsoft. Infusionsoft is a EMarketing automation solution that is intended for small business owners to increase sales without draining productivity.

“You need to be aware of what others are doing, applaud their efforts, acknowledge their successes, and encourage them in their pursuits. When we all help one another, everybody wins.” —Jim Stovall

You can close more sales by asking questions to why they would want to buy, and why they would not want to buy. That way you know what the real objection is for not buying and what the need to buy is. This way you can rebuttle their objections. Every customer that walks in has an interest and an intention to buy, they just need help making the choice. Customers don't buy prices, they buy the salesman and the usage value. Bring out their emotions by painting the picture in their mind on why this product is good for them and how it will benefit them in the short run and the long run. Run numbers such as cost averaging, annual savings on different things for having this product. Paint the picture in their mind that will hurt them for not having this product.

My answer is not as detailed as the others', but I worked with salespeople for many years as a staff secretary/word processor....the most successful salespeople used this one, very old trick, but it still works!!.....'act as if'....when you are speaking to your customer, act as if you have ALREADY made the sale, and, all you are doing now is telling them about what they have already purchased...I know, may sound corny to some, but it's the old 'law of attraction'..if you act successful, you will be successful...all the time you are speaking with your customer, keep in the back of your mind that, 'yes, I made a sale!!!"....this attitude will come across to the other person.....try it......good luck!!
