You can use your refrigerator but don't over do it. Be sure it won't be as good though.

No, no, no. Do not put the cigar in the fridge. Refrigerators are a very dry environment and will dry the cigar out. Go to your local cigar shop and get a humidifier "pillow". It is a small item that you soak in water for 20 seconds, then put in its plastic bag and put in with the cigar. Really, you should throw the cigar out if it is dried out, but if you really want to give this one a chance, try what I am suggesting.

Cigars can be properly re-hydrated without any impact on their taste or burn. Most cigar makers actually prefer a dry cigar to a wet cigar. All you need to do is take a humidifier (if you have one). If you do not have one then take a paper towel and wet it with distilled water. Place it in an aluminum foil, wrap it up with the foil and poke a few holes in the foil so that the water can gently escape. Place it in a zip lock bag with the cigar (the cigar on one side and the aluminum foil humidifier on the other). Seal the zip-lock bag and leave it in there for about a day. You are ready to go. Never push humidity into the cigar too quickly as that will cause the tobacco to go into shock and will burst the cigar's wrapper. The cigar will be back to new if you are patient. Never throw out a good cigar because it is dry. It always come back to life.

Once a cigar has dried out too much it can lose some of it's essential oils and flavor. They are possible to re-constitute but you don't want to over humidify them in doing and then end up with a soggy cigar.

I'd would take a ziplock bag, place a clean type packet such as Boveda makes in it along with the cigars, and allow to sit for at least a month in a cool dark area (even an empty cigar box would work for this) and rest. They are only a few dollars and are used by many cigar lovers to keep their humidity levels constant in their humidors.

Here's the Boveda site where you can read about their unique reverse osmosis packets. They'll keep the interior of that zip lock bag right on 72% or whatever percent you choose and your cigar will come back to life and be ready to enjoy and smoke!

Many cigar stores sell these inexpensive packets and you can also order direct from Boveda as well.

Stick the cigar or cigars in a zip lock bag with a Boveda humidity packet for a week and it will be perfect.
