Good job, a very deep and honorable poem. I didn't understand why we have division of church and state, but one day I fell in love with a wonderful Jewish man, I come from a baptist family and my daddy is a minister, I never really understood the world outside my home, When my daughter was born I started to understand how some ignorant uninformed people can label a marriage and family by what is in there heart and soul. Feeling as if they had a right to dictate to my husband and myself just how we are messing our child's future up by not giving her solid ground. I think back and it still amazes me how some people come to the conclusion that my love for my husband is hurting my child. They tried to force us to decide and put her in a class of either Christian or Jew. On the separation of church and state I can understand now what it means, but, but, but the same goes for a person having the right to have the 10 commandments on there wall and it shouldn't matter where that wall is. No one has spoken a word to another, He never said to follow these commandments or live in Christ, The judge said nothing, I feel he was targeted and made an example of. If we can let someone like Manson walk around with a swastika on his forehead then why on earth is it a crime to have something on your wall, People have the control to either read it or walk on by. What about things like a swastika that speaks loudly to everyone that just walk by, To strip this judge of everything he worked for is preposterous. I do understand that his chambers or where ever it is, isnt his private property, I do get that, but come on.. To nit pick on something like that is ridiculous. What about the atheist, Do they NOT use the American dollar???? It says In GOD We Trust. The next thing we know is that there will be a dollar for non believers and another for believers. Where do we draw the line. Im proud of the judge. Conforming isn't good in my book. We loose so much of our selves when we let the outside influence who we are on the inside. I have 3 children now, and they are very well rounded, Respectful, caring children, They love and accept everyone and everything in there life. They was brought up knowing that there is many difference in this world, and GOD doesn't make mistakes, but he does give us the choice, and what we do from that point on is all on us. Thank you judge, I would have done the same thing. Susan H-K Michigan bungysqk@aol.com
