How to choose soap

How do I know if a new soap is good for me? I'm asking because I switched from Dove to Lux today and my skin feels very different after the shower, it a bit... I don't know, like plastic.

Sometimes, switching cosmetics' products is very good for your skin, hair etc. In general you should choose the product, in this case, soap based on your skin type (dry, regular etc.). Usually the soap-less soaps are better for your skin  and a lot of moisturizers are advised as well (because most of the people have dry skin). The "plastic" feeling you've sensed the feeling of good balance of moisture in your skin.

I totally agree , I must add that you have to check the PH level in the soap you use it will help you determine the one you need.

Your skin normally has a level of 5.5 , you need to get a soap very close to that level.

Most soaps contain varying amounts of lye (an alkaline substance) and a high amount can damage the acid mantle (or protective layer that hold in moisture.)

if you skin is feeling like plastic then, that might not be a good soap for you. Have you tried liquid soap? They usually make ur skin feel really soft. If you like bar soap, I would suggest trying Skin Milk- it is all natural and you will be able to get in online like on drugstore.com. If not, just switch back to Dove, you've been using it for a long time and your body is already used to it.

Helping your way out on Skin Tags

Try using soap which contains more moisturizer. As soaps contain chemicals which are very harmful for our skin. In that guess sticking to mild soaps would be a better choice.

Help yourself with Skin Tag Removal

You have made a far switch, check for the PH levels, I am sure there will be a lot difference between Lux and Dove. It is this change which makes the skin that way.

It doesnt mean it is harmful.
