It is very important to pick a place that will match your expectation. Consider your skill level, preferences (nightlife, fine dinning, area attractions...). You can find great skiing in Stowe Vermont, or nearby Smuggler's Notch which is more family Friendly. In Canada, British Columbia and Banff both have endless options.
