does it differ to have different readings of normal cholestrol level for example having 161 mg/dl or 124 mg/dl does it mean anything to have lower readings if both within normal?

well i searched for it and i think the answer is it depends on your HDL and LDL if the HDL is high its ok then
depends on the ratio of cholestrol components which are HDL and LDL the higher the HDL is better u can check the normal values for them in an laboratory website i dont reall recall the optimum but i remeber that LDL more than 160 is high
