Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given then to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is nothing.

Anyone have a good chocolate chip cookie recipe?

How do I make really good chocolate chip cookies, ones that are soft and good?  I'd love a good recipe.  Thanks. Laughing

Actually the recipe right on the back of the bag of chocolate chip morsels is quite good. The secret is don't over cook and put on cookie rack because they burn on bottom easy and keep cooking on hot pan.

I have your answer and will be glad to share it with you and every one.  I tend to alter recipies until I get them just the way that everyone loves.  Sometimes it by mistake that I discover them.........lol........here it is.  First of all I use no imitations, only real butter, and real vanilla.

Chocolate Chip Cookies..........Pre-heat oven 375

Ingredients:

2 cups flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

Stir these 3 items and set aside.

1 1/2 cubes butter(3/4 cups), 1 1/4 light brown sugar.  Butter should be left out until almost melt stage.  First Cream the Butter, then add the brown sugar, and beat until creamy and fluffy.  Add 1 egg and beat vigorously.  Add 3 tsp. real vanilla and beat.

Add set aside flour mixture, grandually.  Add chocolate chips.

Note:  I use Ghilardi milk chocolate chips

Mix until blended.

Place by teaspoon full onto ungreased cookie sheet.  allowing about an inch from sides and in between each cookie.

Bake approximately 8 minutes.  They will just be turning light brown, remove from oven and cool on rack while you are making the next cookie sheet of teaspoonfuls and putting it in the oven.

Then remove cookies from cookie sheet to another rack to finish cooling.

See I omitted the regular sugar, and used the baking soda and used the milk chocolate.

This is not like the typical chocolate chip cookie.  It is chewy and you cannot just eat one.  If you have a weight problem........do not attempt, but at your own risk........because you will not stop until you eat the whole plate of them.........lol...........have fun and good luck.  Di

hello there,

Follow the directions for Nestle's Toll House chocolate chip cookies on the back of the bag...EXCEPT...instead of using 1 teaspoon of baking soda..use 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. And remove 1-2 minutes earlier than time specified on bag.    I also tap them lightly with the spatula before removing them.  As soon as they are just cooled enough, place them in an airtight container.   Left too long out, they will harden.   Hope this helps
