A:If the chlorine is that strong it is not in balance. The chemicals were way off. When chlorine is correctly checked and added one cannot smell it or have any eye irritation. Don't go to a doctor. It will clear up in a day or two depending on the amount of chemical imbalance in pool. You may see halos around all lights. I surely did. Hang in there. It will clear up. Use eye drops in meantime.
