You should first make a list of the chores he has to do on each day of the week. Make sure the goals are realistic to be achieved. That way it would be clear what he has to do on each and every day, before he goes to sleep. IMO the best method would be a reward for every chore done on the scheduled day. After a few weeks the reward will become internal reward, as your child will discover the emotional benefits of not procrastinating.
